Mrs. Nannie Carrington Goldman of Cullen, VA, peacefully returned to her maker at her home on Thursday, September 12, 2019. She was born on November 16, 1922 to the late Deacon James and Martha Wade Carrington. Nannie was passionate about life and enjoyed her family and will be remembered by many for her characteristic sense of humor and quick wit. She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Russell Goldman and two brothers, Herbert and George Carrington. She leaves to cherish her memories: four sons, Russell Emmanuel, Red House, VA, Cornell “Brick” (Melanie), Cullen, VA, Dwight Irvin (Pattie), Shawnee, KS, and Austin Dale (Sandra), Oak Ridge, NC; nine grandchildren, Brian (Wanda), Justin, Alexa (Eli), Brittni (Devire’), Ashley, Mallory, Jasmine, Johsua and Hannah; four great-grandchildren, Zebulon, Ava, Zena, and Dean; beloved sister, Martha Morton and brother, James Alvin Carrington; sister-in-laws, Ethel Goldman and Marian Carrington; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services were held 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 16, 2019 at St. Andrews Baptist Church in Cullen, VA with interment in the church cemetery. Service of Comfort was provided by Dupee’s Funeral Home, Drakes Branch, VA. Online condolences may be expressed at www.dupeefuneralhome.com.
