Mr. William McKinley Harvey, 47, of Kenbridge entered eternal rest on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at his residence.
Mr. Harvey was born in Bronx, NY on July 25, 1972 to Leslie Harvey, Jr. and the late Lena Ann Harvey. He was a 1990 graduate of Randolph Henry High School, and a member of the National Guard. Mr. Harvey attended St. Andrews Baptist Church in Cullen. He was formerly employed by Nottoway Correctional Center and was a construction worker.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Harvey was preceded in death by a sister, Nekisha Harvey, and a brother, Willie Lee Wade.
Cherishing his memories are his wife Chanell Wood Harvey of Kenbridge; four sons, William M. Harvey, Jr. of Franklin, Keenan T. Harvey and Kristian M. Harvey both of Kenbridge, and Khaleel E. Harvey of South Boston; three daughters, Kayla C. Harvey (Gary) of Pamplin, Keyana C. Harvey of Kenbridge, and Keleese E. Harvey of South Boston, two grandchildren, his father, Leslie Harvey, Jr. of Lawrenceville, GA; one brother, Leslie Harvey III of Charlotte Court House; one sister, Denisha Mitchell (Sheldon) of Lawrenceville, GA, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.
Funeral services for Mr. William McKinley Harvey will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City with Rev. Opie Terrell delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in Ivy Hill Cemetery, Chase City. Public viewing for family and friends was held on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
