SEPTEMBER 14 

BENEFIT YARD SALE, 8 a.m.-2 p.m. at 269 Duprees Store Road, Drakes Branch (up the gravel driveway in green metal building, right off Route 47.) Variety of items available. All proceeds benefit Lebanon United Methodist Youth Missions.

USDA FOOD BANK, 10-11:45 a.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Red House, for residents of Charlotte County. Reminder — you can receive USDA food at only one site in Virginia. Bring a large cardboard box and identification. If you have questions, call Bernice Pannell at (248) 6465 between 5-8 p.m.

FOUR SEASON TEA, 3 p.m. at Mossingford Baptist Church. Come out in support of your favorite season. The Rev. Michael Haskins, Organ Hill Baptist, will be the guest speaker.

GOSPEL PROGRAM, 3 p.m. at St. Louis Baptist Church, Charlotte Court House. Guest will be The New Heavenly Gospel Singers of Cullen. All are welcome.

SILENT AUCTION, 6-8 p.m. at New Hope United Methodist Church, 6101 Scuffletown Road, Randolph. Proceeds will be split between the Lee and Kim families to assist with medical and other expenses stemming from recent accidents.

SEPTEMBER 15 

CHOIR ANNIVERSARY 3 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church, Keysville. Guest groups and choirs will be appearing. Everyone is welcome.

CHOIR ANNIVERSARY, 4 p.m. of the Galilee Shining Stars.

SEPTEMBER 15-18 

REVIVAL, 11 a.m., at Concord Baptist Church, 3225 Germantown Road, Charlotte Court House, beginning with Sunday service, followed by lunch. Revival will begin Sunday at 7 p.m. with special music each night. The Rev. Rick Ewing, Pleasant View Baptist, Lynchburg, will be the guest speaker. Everyone is welcome.

SEPTEMBER 22 

FAMILY AND FRIENDS DAY, 11 a.m. at St. Michael Baptist Church. Pastor James Goode will deliver the message and the senior choir will render the music. Lunch will be served.

PASTOR ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. at New Rehoboth Baptist Church for the Rev. John Craighead’s. The Rev Dr. Finney will be guest speaker along with the Aspen Hill Choir.

SEPTEMBER 28 

CHOIR ANNIVERSARY, 4 p.m. Galilee Baptist Church, 9090 Scuffletown Road, Randolph featuring the Galilee Shining Stars.

SEPTEMBER 29 

175 YEARS OF MINISTRY, 11 a.m. at New Store Presbyterian Church. Lunch will be served. ANNUAL MEN’S DAY, 11 a.m. at Salem Baptist Church, 4050 Salem School Road, Red Oak. Theme, “Arise And Fight For What Belongs To You.” Samuel 30: 1-10. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Haney Thomas, pastor of New Bethel Baptist Church, Meherrin, along with the male chorus. Everyone welcome.

PRAYER/PRAISE/ HEALING/DELIVERANCE SERVICE, 11 a.m. at Triumph Baptist Church, 2756 Darlington Heights Road, Prince Edward. Pastor, the Rev. James W. Morris will preach and the church’s choir will sing. Everyone welcome.

WINE FESTIVAL, 1-7 p.m. hosted by the Barksdale Cancer Foundation at the historic Gil-Har House in Phenix. Entertainment will be provided by the Stoney Ridge Band of Keysville and Public Consumption from Halifax.

OCTOBER 17 

FALL FORESTRY AND WILDLIFE TOUR, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at 400 George Washington Hwy., Charlotte Court House. This event is sponsored by Virginia Cooperative Extension.
