“Ahoy mates” was the welcoming each student received as they entered the new library at Phenix Elementary School. Pirate Watkins, also known as librarian Allyson Watkins, ushered the students into the library which has been relocated to the Elementary Wing. On the carpet was a treasure chest where students took turns guessing what was inside. Although no gold was found, something more valued was in the chest — books!
