Norma Jean Adams Thomas

Norma Jean (Adams) Thomas, 60, of Hedgesville, WV, passed away at Winchester Medical Center on July 12, 2019 after a tough battle with lung cancer.
Born June 22, 1959 in Wylliesburg, VA, she was the daughter of the late John Adams and Frances (Dobbins) Shores.
Norma was an avid reader and enjoyed hosting weekly gatherings of family and friends. She was a hard and dedicated worker, starting her career at Potomac Sportswear in Martinsburg, WV, then moving on to the family owned and operated Woods Superette in Hedgesville, WV. She then worked full time at The Woods Resort while working part-time at Sheppard’s Mini Mart. She spent the latter part of her career as an inkjet operator for 20 years at Quad Graphics in Martinsburg, WV.
She is survived by her husband, Timothy Paul Thomas; daughter, Torri Jean Hancock and her husband, Dustin; siblings Jeffery Adams, Joan Adams, Jill Metcalf and her husband, Frank; numerous nieces and nephews; and her faithful dog, Jack.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Susan, and brother, Anthony.
A private Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at a later date.
