Sen. Frank Ruff Jr. was recognized by the Virginia Chamber of Commerce for his efforts to grow jobs and improve workforce training in Southside Virginia.
“The Virginia Chamber of Commerce is pleased to recognize Sen. Ruff with the 2019 Free Enterprise Award for his efforts to improve Virginia’s business climate. Sen. Ruff’s leadership in support of economic development, workforce development, and major technology projects helps Virginia as we work to be the best state for business,” said Barry DuVal, President and CEO of the Virginia Chamber. “Ruff’s steadfast support for pro-business policies, specifically his work as a budget conferee and his leadership as Chair of the Senate General Laws and Technology Committee, is why we are honored to recognize him this year and are grateful for his service.”
“I have always strived to create better opportunities for our community in Richmond and improve workforce training. As your senator, I will continue to work to create good paying jobs so our kids can stay here and raise their families here,” added Ruff.
Ruff won the Republican Primary June 11. He represents the 15th District in the Virginia Senate.
