Beatrice Craighead peacefully departed this life on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at her home in Drakes Branch. She was born in Charlotte County on April 7, 1933 to the late Pearl and Morrell Green. She was preceded in death by three daughters and one son. Beatrice loved her family and her community and enjoyed sharing her wisdom, family gatherings, riding, socializing, restaurants, and shopping.

She leaves to cherish her many memories, her devoted children, Mary Price, Jessie Craighead, Jr., Diane McCraw (Larry), Clarence Craighead, Audrey Banks (Michael), Rev. John L. Craighead (Sharon), Sarah Venable, Donald Craighead (Sonya), Minister Keith Craighead (Teresa), Mary McCullough, Rev. Tyrone Craighead (Tiffany), Deborah Hill, Alphonzo Craighead, Tracey Ferrell, Dorothy Ward and Quinton Craighead; 51 grandchildren, 98 great grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Julia Roberts and Mae Tucker; numerous cousins, relatives and friends; special friends, Nell Harris, Mary Haskins, Emma Craig, Joanne, Amy and Wendy Tucker, and Cathy Harper.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Sunday, May 26, at Bluestone Harmony Center in Keysville with interment in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Drakes Branch.
