MAY 30

SPECIAL CALLED MEETING, 9 a.m. regarding the vacant seat on the Charlotte County Board of Supervisors.

JUNE 1

CHARLOTTE COUNTY RELAY FOR LIFE, noon-9 p.m. at Southside Virginia Community College. This year’s theme is “The Greatest Show on Earth,” there will be circus decorations and entertainment. Each team will have games, raffles and prizes at their tents. Bands Stoney Ridge and Fear One will be on scene to entertain everyone. Barbecue cooked by Albert Watts and Watts Warriors will be available on-site.

PASTOR INSTALLATION, 3 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church for pastor-elect, Dr. Rev. Horace Parham. The Rev. Dr. Peter Jeffrey, Pastor of First Baptist Church, Dinwiddie, will be the guest proclaimer. All are welcome to witness this special event. Dinner will be served.

FREE DANCE, 6-8 p.m. at the Pamplin Train Depot, 115 Main St., Pamplin. There will be no meal available at the June dance.

JUNE 2

PROGRAM, 3 p.m. hosted by St. Michael Baptist Church’s Missionary. The Singing Deacons will render the music and there will be talents from several churches. Refreshments will be served. Everyone is welcome.

WOMEN’S DAY SERVICE, 3 p.m. at Mossingford Baptist Church. The Rev. Elizabeth Saunders and her choir will be guest for that day. Come and celebrate with us.

JUNE 3-7

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL, 5:30-8 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church in Red House entitled “Roar” where kids discover that when life gets wild, God is good. Meet new friends, share crafts, creative sports, music and more. Dinner will be included for all children attending.

JUNE 6

HOUSING EVENT, 3-6 p.m. at Constitution Square, South Boston and get the keys steps toward homeownership.

JUNE 7

COMMUNITY MEETING, 7 p.m. at the Bacon District Firehouse, hosted by Kay Pierantoni.

JUNE 9

MISSIONARY PROGRAM, 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 770 Moody Creek Road, Wylliesburg. The Rev. Hargrove and his Gospel Choir from William Grove Baptist Church will be in concert. All are welcome.

USHER’S PROGRAM, 4 p.m. at Galilee Baptist Church, Randolph. The SMG Choir (St. Michael, Mossingford and Galilee) combined choir will be in concert. Everyone welcome.

JUNE 10-14

BIBLE SCHOOL, 6:30-8:30 p.m. nightly at Salem Baptist Church, 4050 Salem School Road, Red Oak. The Theme is In the Wild – Amazing Encounters with Jesus. All ages are welcome to attend. The Rev. Roger Lee Allen, pastor.

JUNE 22

GRAND SETTING, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. at Central High School Museum, 401 Thomas Jefferson Highway, Charlotte Court House.

MUSIC, MESSAGE, FOOD AND FUN, 4-7 p.m. at Red House Fire Department, 9467 Red House Road. Food will be provided. Free to public. Family oriented. Hosted by the band of Saints and Martyrs.
