The National Weather Service (NWS) in Blacksburg is forecasting potential severe thunderstorms that could bring wind gusts of up to 20 miles per hour, localized flooding and possible hail for Charlotte County Sunday evening.

“Isolated to widely scattered severe thunderstorms containing damaging wind gusts and large hail will be possible into this evening,” the NWS alert cited. “In addition, multiple rounds of showers and storms could result in
localized flooding into tonight.”
