Randolph-Henry High School’s varsity girls tennis team entered this week with only one regular season match left on its 2019 schedule, and it is a rematch against the team the Lady Statesmen dispatched last week to improve to 11-0 overall.

While visiting Prince Edward County High School on Thursday, Randolph-Henry added to its collection another 9-0 victory, which includes six singles wins and three doubles wins.

The Lady Statesmen were scheduled to travel to Williamsburg to face Bruton High School on Friday, but the match ended up being postponed, likely due to inclement weather.

To open last week, Randolph-Henry visited Appomattox County High School on April 15 and returned home with a 9-0 victory over the Lady Raiders.

The singles results from that win are as follows:

1.) Grace Algeier def. Ilyana Servis, 8-5

2.) Eliza Walker def. Mariska Servis, 8-0

3.) Kaley Moon def. Clara Campbell, 8-1

4.) McKenzie Sharpe def. Ana Myers, 8-2

5.) Pearl Sandridge def. Vidhi Patel, 8-0

6.) Kiersten Dotten def. Bella Cestaro, 8-3

The doubles results from the win over Appomattox are as follows:

1.) Algeier/Moon def. I. Servis/Campbell, 8-5

2.) Walker/Sharpe def. M. Servis/Myers, 8-3

3.) Sandridge/Dotten def. Patel/Cestaro 8-2

The Lady Statesmen (11-0) are set to host Prince Edward on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. for their third and final regular-season showdown with the Lady Eagles.
