APRIL 17-19

YOUTH/SPRING REVIVAL, 7 p.m. nightly at Antioch Baptist Church, Keysville. Minister Rayvon Johnson of the Mt. Lyle Baptist Church will be delivering the message for the week. Music will be rendered by a different choir each night. All are welcome.

APRIL 18

PINS AND NEEDLES CRAFTING GROUP, 6:30-8 p.m. at Patrick Henry Memorial Library. Free and open to the public.

HOLY THURSDAY WORSHIP SERVICE, 7 p.m. at Phenix U.M.C., Church Street, Phenix. Communion will be served. All are welcome.

GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE, 6:30 p.m. at Keysville UMC, Church Street, Keysville.

HOLY FRIDAY WORSHIP SERVICE, 7 p.m. at Mt. Carmel U.M.C., 1104 Mt. Carmel Road, Brookneal. Communion will be served. All are welcome.

APRIL 20

ANNUAL COMMUNITY EASTER EGG HUNT, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Midway Baptist Church for kids of all ages through fifth grade featuring a bouncer, obstacle course and lunch. For more information call (434) 376-3574.

EASTER EGG HUNT/CELEBRATION OF THE RISEN LORD, 11 a.m. at Emmanuel Bible Church, 401 Southern Drive, Keysville. All children are asked to help find more than 2,500 eggs filled with candy on the church grounds. The Easter story will be presented by the Rev. Todd Childers. After the eggs are found and counted, stay and enjoy lunch and fellowship.

B.B.Q 11:30 a.m. at the Chase City Pavilion hosted by Trinity Gospel Church.

GOSPEL EXPLOSION SERVICE, 2 p.m. at Salem Baptist Church, 4050 Salem School Road Red Oak. Various groups will be on the program. Theme is God’s Resurrecting Power.

APRIL 21

SUNRISE SERVICE, 6 a.m. at Peaks Baptist Church, 1948 Peaks Road. Guest preacher will be the Rev. Gail Mercer from Chestnut Grove Baptist, Charlottesville.

SUNRISE SERVICE 6 a.m. at Mossingford Baptist Church. Breakfast will be served after the service. Everyone welcome.

EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE, 6:30 a.m. at the Nazareth Baptist Church of Phenix. Preaching will begin at 7 a.m. with an inspiring message from Pastor Russell Lomax. Breakfast will be served immediately after the service. All are welcome to come and fellowship with us.

COMMUNITY EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE, 7 a.m. at Mt. Carmel U.M.C., 1104 Mt. Carmel Road, Brookneal. Breakfast will be served following the service. All are welcome.

COMMUNITY SUNRISE SERVICE, 7 a.m. at Briery Presbyterian Church in Keysville. The Rev. Ted Smith will deliver the sermon and the Rev. Joseph McCutchen and the Rev. Freedman Kim will also take part in the service. A light breakfast will be served in the fellowship hall following the service. The community is welcome.

SUNRISE SERVICE, 7 a.m. at Salem Baptist Church, 4050 Salem School Road, Red Oak.

SON RISE SERVICE, 7 a.m. at Emmanuel Bible Church, 401 Southern Drive, Keysville. Come experience an Outdoor Easter Son Rise Service behind Emmanuel Bible Church. Breakfast will be served by the men of EBC in our fellowship hall immediately following the outdoor service.

EASTER SUNDAY SERVICES, at New Hope-Southall Memorial United Methodist Charge, Randolph, followed by breakfast at 8 a.m. in the church fellowship hall. Sunday School will follow at 9 a.m. with another worship service and special baptism ceremonies at 10 a.m. Pastor Philip Hong will lead the services. All are welcome to attend.

SUNRISE SERVICE, 6 a.m. at Mt. Ellis Baptist Church. Pastor Wesley will deliver the Word of God. Everyone is welcome. The church is located at 8409 George Washington Hwy., Keysville.

JOB SEARCH HELP, 10 a.m.-noon at Patrick Henry Memorial Library. Free and open to the public. A representative from the Region 2000 Workforce Center will be on-site.

SPRING CONCERT, 7:30 p.m. of The Chorale and Longwood University’s Chamber Singers and Camerata Singers, under the direction of Dr. Pamela McDermott, Director of Choral Activities at Longwood at Jarman Auditorium, 201 High St., Farmville, on the Longwood campus. Admission is free.

APRIL 26

MONTHLY MEETING, 1 p.m. of the MOAA (Military Officers Association of America) at Riverside Café, 522 N. Main St., Farmville. All active, former and retired military officers and spouses/widows are welcome to attend. Programs pertain to military interests and issues.

APRIL 27

TRIBUTE TO MOTHER’S, 4 p.m. at St. Michael Baptist Church in Drakes Branch for all Mother’s. Everyone is welcome to come fellowship and dine with us.

APRIL 28

FAMILY AND FRIENDS DAY, 11 a.m. at Gill Hill Baptist Church. Speaker will be Walter Reed from The Word n Truth Outreach Ministry, Capitol Heights, Maryland. Music will be rendered by Antioch Baptist Church male chorus. Everyone welcome. Dinner will be served.

PASTOR ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. at Mossingford Baptist Church for the Rev. John Craighead. The Rev. Michael Sessoms will be guest speaker. All are welcome. to attend this celebration.

USHER’S ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. at The Gethsemane Presbyterian Church. All are welcome.

Learn what may be hidden in your teen’s bedroom and take a closer look at drug trends, youth behavior and how to start a conversation with your teen. Free pizza will be served. Adults 18 and older. Sponsored by Piedmont Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse.
