Joseph Louis Williams, age 57 of Victoria, died on March 26, 2019 in Charlottesville, VA. He was the son of Mrs. Mildred Lee Fowlkes Watts and the late Mr. Joe Louis Williams.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Joe Louis Williams; one sister, Juliette Marie Williams; three brothers, Roberts Williams, James Williams, and Carl Williams; and a favorite uncle, Percy L. Fowkles.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Mildred Lee Fowlkes Watts; two sisters, Elsie Harper (Steve) and Cynthia Dantzler (Terence); four brothers, John Williams, Russell Williams (Sherrell), Reginald Williams and Larry Brooks (Brandy); four sisters-in-law, Eunice Williams, Carolyn Goode, Annette Hamlett and Sandra Latta; one uncle, Charles Henry Fowkles of San Antonio, TX; three aunts, Judith Ann Watson Fowlkes of Victoria, Elsie Mae Cing of Baltimore, MD and Lillie Mae Staples of New Jersey; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 2, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Jeffress Funeral Home in Charlotte Court House with interment in Mt. Ellis Baptist Church Cemetery in Keysville. Arrangements were by Jeffress Funeral Home of Charlotte Court House.
