Randolph-Henry High School’s varsity softball team has started the 2018-19 season in promising fashion.

The Lady Statesmen edged visiting Greensville County High
School 12-11 on Monday in their home opener.

It was a strong second step for Randolph-Henry, which opened the year March 12 on the road against Bluestone High School. The Lady Statesmen proved competitive against the Lady Barons and returned home while locked in a 3-3 tie after the game was stopped due to darkness in the
top of the fourth inning.

Randolph-Henry visits Amelia County High School on Friday at 5 p.m.
