BLACK HISTORY CELEBRATION, 3 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church, 125 Shiloh Church Road, Drakes Branch. Dr. Rev. Kitty Smith will be the guest speaker. The Anderson Family Gospel Singers will provide the music. A soul food dinner will be served. Wear your African Attire or black, green and red. All are welcome.

BEEKEEPER’S SCHOOL, 7-9 p.m. at the Prince Edward County Extension Office. A hands-on session is tentatively planned for a date to be announced since it is weather-dependent. Cost will include all classes and two books. Pre-registration is required. Grant money is available. Classes are presented by the Heart of Virginia Beekeepers. VALENTINE’S FELLOWSHIP COVERED DISH DINNER, 6 p.m. sponsored by Mt. Carmel/Phenix U.M.C. charge at Mt. Carmel U.M.C. The Rustburg United Methodist Church Handbell Choir will bring the music. Come out and join in the fellowship.

BLACK HISTORY PROGRAM, 2:30 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Dillwyn. Longwood College’s B.A.S.I.C. Gospel Chorus will render the music. Morning service will begin at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mosley, followed by a delicious Soul Food luncheon at 1 p.m. Come out for an afternoon of fellowship, food and growth in your Black History knowledge.

ANNUAL REVIVAL, 7 p.m. nightly at St. Michael Baptist Church in Drakes Branch. The Rev. James E. Goode, pastor of the church, will deliver the message each night. A different choir will sing each night. Everyone is welcome to attend.

MEALS ON WHEELS WINTER GALA, 6 p.m. at the SVCC Workforce Center in Keysville. Tickets may be purchased by calling the Charlotte County Meals on Wheels Office at (434) 736-8441, from any board member or at the door.

ART SHOW OPENING RECEPTION, 6-8 p.m. at the Randolph-Henry High School Library. A meet and greet with the artists will be held and refreshments will be provided. Artwork will be for sale. Work must be submitted by Jan. 31. Participants must be a student at Randolph-Henry. This event is sponsored by the Randolph-Henry High School Art Club and Library Club.
