A bomb threat written on a restroom wall at Central Middle School was confirmed to be a student prank following an investigation, Charlotte County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Nancy Leonard said. No suspect items were found at the school.
The initial alert about the bomb threat was released Monday. As precaution the area sheriff’s department and Virginia State Police conducted a search of the school Monday evening.
Officials at CCPS said in the release Monday that “although we believe the message on the restroom wall is a student prank, we are taking this threat very seriously and taking all necessary precautions to maintain the safety of our students.”
