FALL REVIVAL, 7:30 p.m. praise service and 8 p.m. service at Gill Hill Baptist Church in Keysville. The minister for the week will be the Rev. William Johnson III, Pastor of the Union Grove Baptist Church in Chesterfield. A different choir will provide the music each night. Everyone is invited.
NOVEMBER 9
COMMUNITY MEETING, 7-8 p.m. at the Bacon District Fire House. This event is sponsored by Wylliesburg/Red Oak Supervisor Kay Pierantoni.
NOVEMBER 10
ANNUAL BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL BENEFIT, Noon-11 p.m. at Philbeck’s Community Music House. The event will include, stew by Heavy Duty, barbecue and fixings, music by Bill Joyner, Bluegrass Country Partners, Jimmy Lewis & Friends, Virginia Carolina Grass, John Adams & Friends and Halifax Hillbillies. An auction will also be held including various items such as furniture, appliances, antiques, coins and more. Admission if free. BARN DANCE, 6-8 p.m. at the Pamplin Train Station. Special veterans will be celebrated with a Veterans Day tribute and all veterans will be provided a full course meal provided by the Friends of the High Bridge Trail State Park.
ART SHOW/SALE AND CHILI LUNCH, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Depot on Main Street in Pamplin. Local artists will display their artwork in the in the freight room. Lunch will be available 11 a.m.-1 p.m., consisting of homemade chili, chips, drink and dessert. This event is sponsored by the Pamplin Area Legacy Supporters (PALS).
AMATEUR RADIO CLUB MEETING, 9 a.m. at Keysville Hardware and Farm Supply.
VETERANS TRIBUTE, 6 p.m. at the Pamplin Train Depot. This event is sponsored by Friends of the High Bridge Trail State Park. All veterans are invited to enjoy a free meal.
NOVEMBER 11
USHER’S ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church in Keysville. This event will be celebrated by the Antioch Baptist Church Ushers Ministry. This will be a musical program. All are invited.
HOTDOG HOEDOWN, 11:15 a.m. at Lebanon Methodist Church in Drakes Branch. Plates will consist of hot dogs, chips, dessert and a drink. All proceeds will benefit the Lebanon United Methodist Church Youth Mission Projects. The special guest will be Carol Hess, who will discuss her work with Leg Up Christian Ministries. All are welcome. The church is located at 11135 Crafton’s Gate Hwy.
