Randolph-Henry High School (R-H) junior Travis Adams placed the highest individually out of all Statesmen runners at the Region 2A Cross Country Championships on Thursday in Mechanicsville.

Adams placed 14th out of 90 male runners, recording a time of 19 minutes, three seconds to pace an R-H boys team that finished fourth out of 13 teams.

The Lady Statesmen placed sixth out of seven teams and were led individually by freshman Olivia Nelson, who placed 21st out of 61 female runners with a 24:59 time.
