REVIVAL, at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Drakes Branch. Sunday service will be held 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday-Friday service will be held at 7 p.m. nightly. Brother Carroll Martin will deliver the message and special singing will be held each night.

FAFSA NIGHT, 4-6:30 p.m. at the Randolph-Henry High School Library. Any high school senior that is interested in trade/ vocational school, 2 yr or 4 yr must file a FAFSA to be considered for financial aid. RSVP by emailing richardsdn@ ccps.k12.va.us.

FAMILY AND FRIENDS DAY, 2 p.m. in Boydton. Barbara Finley and Sister Octoberfest will be held at 2740 Hwy 92 and is co-hosted by the Southside Virginia Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club. Music will be provided by DJ Kool Daddy and the event will include a biker cruze-in, raffle drawing, traditional stew, trophies, hourly prizes, hot pork skins, corn hole, horseshoes and more. STOP THE BULLYING PROGRAM, 3 p.m. at Gill Hill Baptist Church. The speaker will be Captain Royal Freeman from the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office. Everyone is invited. Refreshments will be served following the program.
GOSPEL ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church in Keysville. The Spiritual Four Gospel Singers will celebrate their first anniversary. Groups will include Traveling Angels of Farmville, Gospel Traveliers of Farmville, Silver Spring Youth Chorus and more. Everyone is welcome.

MEN AND WOMEN’S DAY, 3 p.m. at Beautiful Plain Baptist Church. Guest ministers will be the Rev. Henry Fleshman, Pastor of St. Louis Baptist Church and Minister Kimberly Ashton of First Baptist Church in Farmville. The St. Louis Choir will render the music. All are invited.
GUEST PASTOR, 11 a.m. at New Witt Baptist Church in Farmville. The Rev. Kimberly Ashton of First Baptist Church in Farmville will deliver the message. Music will be rendered by the New Witt Male Chorus.

CHRISTMAS BAZAAR, at St. Theresa Parish Center in Farmville. The event will be held Friday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Admission is free. The event will include door prizes, baked goods, jewelry, crafts, stained glass and more. The center is located at 700 Buffalo St., in Farmville.

TURKEY DINNER, 4 p.m. takeouts and 5-7 p.m. eat in at the Abilene Community Center. This event is sponsored by the Beulah United Methodist Women to benefit the UMW missions fund. Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance. Call Betty Gryder at (434) 223- 8343 for more information.
PASTOR AIDE PROGRAM, 3 p.m. at Salem Baptist Church in Red Oak. The Rev. Raleigh Bagley of Concord Baptist Church in Chase City will be the guest speaker, along with his choir and congregation. Salem Baptist Church is located at 4050 Salem School Road.
STEW, 11 a.m. at the home of Jerry and Brenda Bowers, located in Sugar Hill across from Lester’s Fast Mart. This event is sponsored by Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church in Brookneal. Beef and chicken stew will be available. Proceeds will go toward an upcoming mission trip for 2019. Pre-orders are accepted and encouraged. ANNUAL BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL BENEFIT, Noon-11 p.m. at Philbeck’s Community Music House. The event will include, stew by Heavy Duty, barbecue and fixings, music by Bill Joyner, Bluegrass Country Partners, Jimmy Lewis & Friends, Virginia Carolina Grass, John Adams & Friends and Halifax Hillbillies. An auction will also be held including various items such as furniture, appliances, antiques, coins and more. Admission if free.
