The Randolph-Henry High School junior varsity (JV) football team’s home game Thursday against James River, of Buchanan, was halted due to lightning just prior to halftime with the score tied 0-0.

Randolph-Henry Director of Athletics Christopher Holt noted Saturday that the score was not considered final, but then he provided an update Tuesday, citing that the game will not be made up and will now be considered a tie.

The Statesmen were looking for another win as a follow-up to their tremendous 46-0 blowout victory in their season opener Aug. 23 against visiting William Campbell.

With a bye this week, R-H (1-0) is next scheduled to play Sept. 20 against visiting Prince Edward.
