Former Randolph-Henry High School multi-sport standout Joe Reed, pictured above, and the rest of the University of Virginia Cavaliers football team showed the football world Saturday evening that significant changes are at work within the program. Two years ago, the Cavs faced the University of Richmond and fell 37-20, finishing that season with a 2-10 record. Saturday, Virginia had a rematch against the Spiders and won 42-13 at home, setting an exciting tone for the 2018 season in its opener. Reed, known for his contributions in the return game, was involved offensively, with two catches for 34 yards and one carry for nine yards.
