The Randolph-Henry High School junior varsity (JV) football team’s home game Thursday against James River, of Buchanan, was postponed due to lightning just prior to halftime with the score tied 0-0.

Randolph-Henry Director of Athletics Christopher Holt noted Tuesday that the game will not be made up and will be considered a tie.

The Statesmen were looking for another win as a follow-up to their tremendous 46-0 blowout victory in their season opener Aug. 23 against visiting William Campbell.

With a bye next week, Randolph-Henry (1-0) is next scheduled to play Thursday, Sept. 20, against visiting Prince Edward at 6:30 p.m.
