Ronald Edward Taylor (Boone), age 68, of Phenix, Virginia passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018 at his home. Ronald is survived by his two children: a son, Daniel Taylor and his wife Tiffaney Taylor and a daughter, Chantel Taylor Jones and her husband Brian Jones; a step-son, William “BJ” Taylor, Jr. and his wife Carol Taylor; a sister, Marie St. John and her husband, Joe St. John; a brother James “Jimmy” Taylor; and several nieces, nephews and grandchildren. He is predeceased by his father, Curtis Taylor; his mother, Alice Taylor; and two brothers, Robert “Bobby” Taylor and William “Billy” Taylor. Ronald Taylor was born on July 17, 1950 and enlisted in the army when he was 18. On November 26, 1976 he married Rita Childress, of Phenix, and they had two children, Danny and Chantel. He worked at Burlington Industries in Halifax and Drakes Branch for most of his life. He also worked for Charlotte County until his retirement in 2014.

A memorial service was held at Browning Funeral Home on Friday, August 17, at 4 p.m. The family received guests afterwards at Daniel Taylor’s house in Charlotte Court House. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, served the family.
