Outstanding agricultural education program
The Randolph-Henry (R-H) Agriculture Department was recently named the Outstanding agricultural education program in the state by the Virginia Association of Agricultural Educators (VAAE) at its annual conference. The program was judged in eight areas which included an overview, program mission, program curriculum, experiential learning, leadership development, partnerships, marketing and professional growth. Pictured are, from left, department members receiving the plaque, Dave Richmond, Jim Pugh, Bruce Cumbie (recently retired) and Calli Claybrook. We commend the R-H Agriculture Department on their accomplishment. (Send pictures of the week with names and a brief description to PicOfTheWeek@TheCharlotteGazette.com).
