WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY, 6 p.m. at Morrison Grove Baptist Church in Charlotte Court House. All women are invited.

July 21

WOMEN’S TEA, 2-4 p.m. at Morrison Grove Baptist Church in Charlotte Court House. The speaker will be Minister Kimberly Ashton of First Baptist Church in Farmville. Bring your favorite cup of tea.

July 22

CHOIR DAY, 3 p.m. at Concord Baptist Church in Chase City. Various male choruses have been invited. Master of Ceremonies will be Deacon Cecil Shell of Dundas. All are invited.

JACKSON FAMILY MEMORIAL DAY PROGRAM, 3 p.m. at White Oak Grove Baptist Church in Phenix. Many guests will provide the music for the afternoon. Special guest is New Beginnings of Chase City. All proceeds will go to the building fund. This year’s program is a special tribute to Deacon Willard Jackson, John Henry Haskins, Quashay Banks and Dorothy Haskins Smith.

PASTOR’S ANNIVERSARY, 11 a.m. at New Rehoboth Baptist Church in Keysville. The church will celebrate the anniversary of Pastor John Craighead. All are welcome.

July 25

GO VIRGINIA MEETING, 10:30 a.m. on the first floor conference room of the Halifax County IDA in South Boston. The Southern Virginia GO Region 3 Executive Committee and Council will meet to review project application and to conduct general business.

July 25-27

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL, 6-8 p.m. at Safe Haven Ministries in Meherrin. This year’s theme is “conquering the giant.” The event is open to all children and adults and will include games, bible classes, crafts, music and snack. A cook out will be held Friday night.

July 29

FAMILY AND FRIENDS DAY, 11 a.m. at Triumph Baptist Church. The Rev. James W. Morris will preach and the church choir will sing. A car/motorcycle show and a picnic lunch will be held after the worship service. Casual dress is encouraged. Everyone is invited. The church is located on Darlington Heights Road in Prince Edward.

HOMECOMING, 11 a.m. at Gethsemane Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Garrison Michael Hickman will deliver the message and the Young Adult Choir will provide the music. Lunch will be served immediately afterward.

August 5

HOMECOMING, 11:15 a.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church in Drakes Branch. The Rev. Vantell Allen, Pastor of New Hope Baptist Church in Meherrin will be the guest minister. Music will be provided by “The Voices for Christ.” Dinner will be served. Everyone is welcome.

SICK AND SHUT-IN PROGRAM, 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Wylliesburg. The Royallights Gospel Singers will sponsor the program.

August 6-10

REVIVAL SERVICES, 7:30 p.m. nightly at St. Level Baptist Church in Clarksville. Guest ministers will include the Rev. Reginald Hurt, Sr., the Rev. Eva B. Hurt and the Rev. Andy Hargrove. Different choirs have been invited for each night, along with their congregation and ushers. The public is invited.

August 6

FIRST RESPONDERS PROGRAM, Noon-3 p.m. at Charlotte Primary Care in Charlotte Court House. The event will be held to raise awareness about the mission and accomplishments of America’s Health Centers and dedicated staff.

August 7

NATIONAL NIGHT OUT, 4-7 p.m. at the Charlotte Court House Dixie Youth Ballpark. The event is free and open to the public and will include music, food, school supplies, a bounce house, emergency vehicles and more.

August 11

ON THE LAWN FELLOWSHIP, 5 p.m. at St. Level Baptist Church in Clarksville. The church will have their annual “on the lawn” picnic and fellowship. The public is invited.

August 12

HOMECOMING SERVICE, 11 a.m. at St. Level Baptist Church in Clarksville. The Rev. Toney W. Smith will deliver the message. The public is invited.

August 20

DEMOCRATIC MEETING, 7 p.m. at the Drakes Branch Municipal Building, 4800 Drakes Main St.

August 25

FCA BASEBALL, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Keysville Dixie Youth Ballpark. Camp is for rising first through eighth-graders. Participants will receive one-on-one and group instruction. A certified athletic trainer will be on-site. A hot dog lunch with chips will be provided. Registration forms may be picked up at the Central Middle School main office or by contacting Coach Josh Barmoy at barmoyjr@ccps.k12.va.us. Forms and money will be collected day of camp.
