Fans of Charlotte County youth baseball received only a preview of what its Major League All-Star team and Instructional League All-Star team are capable of Friday after inclement weather prevented both teams from completing their opening games in their respective Victoria-hosted District 5 tournaments.

Action in both games will resume Saturday at 3 p.m.

Before lightning and an approaching thunderstorm halted the action, the Charlotte County Instructional All-Stars were locked in a 2-2 tied with the Prince Edward-Farmville Youth Association All-Stars in the fourth inning at Neblett Field.

Right next door at Lenhart Field, the Charlotte County Majors All-Stars and the Lunenburg County Youth Baseball League All-Stars were still tied 0-0 when the delay was announced.
