SUMMER FUN, 10 a.m. at Charlotte County local libraries. Join the fun in Wylliesburg, Keysville or Charlotte Court House. The event is free and will feature games, stories, crafts and more. Storytime will also be held for preschoolers ages 3-5. Call (434) 542-5247. This event will be held every Wednesday in the month of June.

JUNE 14

BLOOD DRIVE, 1-6 p.m. at the Drakes Branch Municipal Building, 4818 N. Main St.

JUNE 16

RANGER CHALLENGE, 1-3 p.m. at Twin Lakes State Park. This event is open to youth 14 years old and younger with a parent or other adult partner. Teams will compete in the Backyard Bass Casting game, a canoeing challenge, a corn hole challenge and an obstacle course. Awards ceremony will be held at 4 p.m. The same parent may participate in more than one team with each of their children. Register at the sport of choice on the day of the event. Rain date is June 17.

OLE GRAND SETTING, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at Central High Museum in Charlotte Court House. The third annual Ole Grand Setting will feature guest speaker the Rev. Michael Haskins, principal of Central Middle School and the Salem Baptist Church Junior choir will render the music. There will also be a guest DJ, food for sale, vendors, games and a motorcycle/ car show.

USDA FOOD BANK, 10-11:45 a.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Red House. This foodbank is for those in the Phenix and surrounding Red House Community who are residents of Charlotte County. USDA food can only be received at one site. Please bring a large cardboard box.

JUNE 17

HOMECOMING SERVICE, 11 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church in Keysville. Pastor Wyatt Vaughan, Jr. will deliver the message. Dinner will be served.

JUNE 18-22

REVIVAL SERVICE, 7 p.m. prayer and praise at Antioch Baptist Church. Service will begin at 7:30 p.m. The Rev. Leon Jackson will be the proclaimer for the week. A guest choir will be in attendance each night.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Salem Baptist Church in Red Oak. The theme is “The Game is on.” All ages up to adults are welcome.

REVIVAL SERVICE, 7 p.m. prayer and praise service at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Red House. Worship service will start at 7:30 p.m. Daniel Watson, Pastor of Springfield Baptist Church in Gordonsville will be the guest minister for the week.

REVIVAL, 7 p.m. prayer and praise service at Roanoke Baptist Church. Worship service begins at 7:30 p.m. The Rev. Lloyd Wesley of Mt. Ellis Baptist Church of Keysville will be the guest preacher.

JUNE 21

HOUSING EVENT, 4-7 p.m. at Constitution Square in South Boston. The Tri-County Community Action Agency, Inc., in partnership with USDA Rural Development will be hosting the event. Information and financing terms along with other Tri-County Community Action agency resources will be available. Contractors, realtors and housing manufactures are invited to attend. JUNE 24

MISSIONARY DAY, 3 p.m. at Aspen Hill Baptist Church. Starz of Faith from Lynchburg will render the music. Light refreshments will be served following the service.

SPAGHETTI DINNER FUNDRAISER, 4-6 p.m. at Wylliesburg Baptist Church to benefit Tammy Jo and Scottie Mann. Pick up or takeout will be available.
