Town cleanup a success

On a chilly morning in March, several diligent citizens joined forces in Keysville to clean up the litter that had collected along the railroad tracks, in ditches and along our roads. The 21 volunteers collected about 20 bags of garbage and found that this seemingly menial task could be fun and rewarding. Thanks to Cub Scout Pack #475, the Critzer family, Trey Endres, Jay George, Betsy Hanmer, Emily Jackson and her daughters and P.K. Pettus. This is an annual cleanup in Keysville. To prevent litter from becoming a problem residents are encouraged to be more careful with their own garbage and by picking up trash when they see it. We commend the volunteers for cleaning up litter in Keysville.
