ANNUAL YOUTH/SPRING REVIVAL, 7 p.m. nightly at Antioch Baptist Church of Keysville. The Rev. John Craighead will be the guest preacher for the week. Music will be rendered by guest choirs. All are invited.

BLOOD DRIVE CANCELED, There will be no blood drive at the Drakes Branch Municipal Building for the month of April due to Red Cross staffing issues. For any questions or concerns, contact Jerris Wells (434) 568-3090.

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY, 6 p.m. at Morrison Grove Baptist Church in Charlotte Court House.

April 22

BUILDING FUND PROGRAM, 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Wylliesburg. Various groups will appear to render the music. All are welcome.

FAMILY AND FRIENDS DAY, 11 a.m. at Gill Hill Baptist Church in Keysville. The speaker will be the Rev. Isiah Hurt and the Antioch Choir will render the music. Everyone is invited.

PASTOR’S ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. at Mossingford Baptist Church. The event will celebrate the Rev. John Craighead. The speaker will be the Rev. James Taylor and choir from Jericho Baptist Church in Farmville. Everyone is invited.

WOMEN’S DAY PROGRAM, 3 p.m. at New Witt Baptist Church. The guest minister will be Trenna Gilliam of the Harvest Christian Center in Crewe. Music will be rendered by the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church Choir of Prospect. The public is invited.

HEAD START RIBBON CUTTING, 10 a.m. at Charlotte Head Start/Early Head Start Center in Charlotte Court House.

April 27-29

ANNUAL CATFISH TOURNAMENT, 8 p.m. on Friday to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Brookneal Boat Ramp on the Staunton River. On-site registration will be held at the Brookneal Boat Ramp 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday. Children under 12 may fish with a parent or guardian without being registered, but will not be eligible for prizes. This event is sponsored by the Staunton River Masonic Lodge #155.

April 28

WOMEN’S PRAYER BREAKFAST, 9 a.m. at Mossingford Baptist Church in Saxe. The speaker will be educator and professor at Virginia University of Lynchburg, Hezetine Foster. All women are invited.

WOMEN’S DAY WEEKEND, 1-4 p.m. at Meadowview Terrace Community Center Room in Clarksville. The women of Salem Baptist Church will fellowship. The theme of the program is Diamonds and Pearls. The event will include a fashion show, vendors and refreshments.

April 29

ECOLOGY CLUB ANNIVERSARY, 3-4:30 p.m. on the blacktop behind Eureka Elementary School. The club will celebrate 10 years. Former and current Ecology Club students will be recognized. The event will include an open trail.

WOMEN’S DAY SERVICE, 10:45 a.m. at Salem Baptist Church in Red Oak. Minister Brenda Wilson will be the guest proclaimer and the all ladies women’s day choir will render the music. All ladies are asked to wear white, a favorite hat and pearls. The them is Moving Forward as Kingdom Women by the Power of God. Everyone is invited.

May 3

NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER, 6-8 a.m. at Red Oak Excavating in Red Oak. The featured speaker will be Joe Don Cooper and special music will be provided by Lynn Cooper.

May 5

PIEDMONT SENIOR RESOURCES FUNDRAISER, at J&J Treeland in Prospect. The Kentucky Derby themed fundraiser “A Racy Affair” will raise money to keep seniors across Charlotte, Amelia, Buckingham, Cumberland, Lunenburg, Nottoway and Prince Edward counties safe and secure in their homes. May 9-11

CHURCH REVIVAL, 7 p.m. nightly at St. Michael Baptist Church in Drakes Branch. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Vincent Eanes, pastor of Lone Oak Baptist Church. A different choir will sing each night. Everyone is welcome.

PASTOR’S ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. at St. Michael Baptist Church in Drakes Branch. This event will celebrate the 12th anniversary of the Rev. James E. Goode. The Rev. Paul Crews of Millstone Baptist Church will deliver the anniversary message, accompanied by his choir. Dinner will be served. All are invited.
