Mrs. Clara Bell Brown Hill peacefully departed this life on Friday, March 23, 2018 at the home of her daughter in Roanoke, VA. She was the second born of seven children to the late George and Edwina Brown in Keysville, VA. Clara was known for her full of life personality. She dearly enjoyed and loved her family. Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Oliver Hill, her brother, Alexander, sisters, Dorothy Mae and Delores. She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Linda Hill Bannister and Sharon Hill; son-in-law, Louis Bannister; stepdaughter, Christinne; grandchildren, Marissa, Ashley, Hope and Ryan; brothers, Bennett and Bobby; sister, Patsy; special nephew, Jeffrey and family; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Celebration of Life Services were held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2018 at the Garrette Dupee’s Memorial Chapel in Drakes Branch with interment in the Brown Family Cemetery at the homeplace in Keysville.
