HIGHWAY DEDICATION, 11 a.m. The event will kick off at Rt. 47 South at the town limit marker and afterward everyone is invited to the Drakes Branch Municipal Building for light refreshments.

HOLY THURSDAY SERVICE, 7 p.m. at Mt. Carmel UMC in Brookneal. All are invited.

DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATES FORUM, 10 a.m. at the Bistro, 150 King St., in Keysville. Candidates will include Andrew Sneathern, Leslie Cockburn, Ben Cullop, R.D. Huffstetler and Lawrence Gaughan.

CHICKEN STEW FUNDRAISER, 11 a.m. at Kerwin and Beverly Kunath’s house. Proceeds will benefit the Wildcats travel softball team. Stewmaster is Kerwin Kunath. To preorder, call Beverly at (434) 391-4708.

MALE CHORUS ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church in Keysville. The Male Chorus of Antioch will celebrate their eighth anniversary. Many groups will be appearing. All are welcome.

ANNUAL EASTER EGG HUNT, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Phenix Elementary School. Event is sponsored by Midway Baptist Church. The egg hunt is for kids of all ages through grade 5. The event will also include a bouncer, obstacle course and lunch. For more information, call (434) 376-3574.

EASTER SONRISE SERVICE, 7 a.m. at Emmanuel Bible Church in Keysville. Service will be held outdoors. Breakfast will be served immediately following the service.

EASTER WORSHIP SERVICE, 10 a.m. at Gethsemane Presbyterian Church in Drakes Branch. All are invited to worship with us.

EASTER SONRISE SERVICE, 7 a.m. at Briery Presbyterian Church in Keysville. The Rev. Freeman Kim will deliver the sermon and the Rev. Joseph McCutchen will also take part in the service. A light breakfast will be served in the fellowship hall following the service. All are invited.

EASTER SONRISE SERVICE, 6:30 a.m. at Nazareth Baptist Church in Phenix. Preaching begins at 7 a.m. with a message from Pastor Russell Lomax. Breakfast will be served immediately after service. All are invited.

EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE, 6:30 a.m. at New Witt Baptist Church. Pastor Haney Thomas and the New Bethel Baptist Church will be in charge of the service. New Witt is located on Farmville Highway South. The public is invited.

SUNDAY SCHOOL EASTER PROGRAM, 11 a.m. at Empowerment Temple in Pamplin. Morning service will follow at noon.

BEEKEEPER’S MEETING, 7 p.m. at the Prince Edward County Extension Office in Farmville. The program will feature Experimental Oxalic Acid Shop Towel Method of Varroa Mite Treatment. STEW, at Antioch Baptist Church to benefit the Charlotte County Meals on Wheels. Brunswick stew will be prepared by stew master Scott Winn. Call Charlotte County Meals on Wheels to preorder no later than 5 p.m. April 2. Stew may be picked up at Concord Baptist Church in Chase City 8:30-9:30 a.m. or at Sheldon’s in Keysville and the Drakes Branch Pavilion at 10:30 a.m.

MEN’S DAY SERVICE, 3 p.m. at Roanoke Baptist Church in Charlotte Court House. The Rev. Ervin Booker of Amelia will be the guest preacher, along with a choir to render the music. All are invited.

DEACONS, DEACONESSES AND TRUSTEES SERVICE, 3 p.m. at the St. Louis Baptist Church in Charlotte Court House. The Rev. Henry L. Fleshman, Jr., and the choir from Springfield Baptist will render the music. Deaconesses are asked to wear white. Everyone is welcome.

WOMEN’S PRAYER BREAKFAST, 9 a.m. at Mossingford Baptist Church in Saxe. The speaker will be educator and professor at Virginia University of Lynchburg, Hezetine Foster. All women are invited.
