LENTEN LUNCHEON, Noon at Keysville United Methodist Church. The speaker will be Jane Smith from Farmville United Methodist Church. Bring a sandwich, drinks and dessert will be provided.


EASTER EGG HUNT, 2 p.m. at Wayland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Keysville. Prizes will be awarded and the Easter Bunny will be in attendance. Age groups include 0-5, 6-8 and 9-12. This event is free and open to the public.

EASTER EGG HUNT, 11 a.m. at Emmanuel Bible Church in Keysville. All children are invited to help find over 1,500 eggs filled with candy on church grounds. The Easter story will be presented by the Rev. Todd Childers. Lunch and fellowship will follow.

EASTER EGG HUNT, 4 p.m. at Wylliesburg Evangelical Presbyterian Church. The church is located at 506 Jackson Vaughan Rd. in Wylliesburg.


SENIOR CHOIR FESTIVAL, 3 p.m. at St. Michael Baptist Church in Drakes Branch. Invited guests are the Millstone Gospel Chorus, White Oak Grove Senior Choir, Shining Stars of Galilee Baptist Church and Organ Hill/St. Michael Combined Choir. Everyone is welcome.

STATES RALLY, 3 p.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Drakes Branch. The event will include music from guest chorus United.

PASTOR AID SOCIETY PROGRAM, 3 p.m. at Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Brookneal. The program is called Mothers and Daughters from Amelia, Virginia. The public is invited.

USHER’S ANNIVERSARY, 4 p.m. at Beautiful Plain Baptist Church. The Rev. Lloyd Wesley, Pastor of Mt. Ellis Baptist Church will be the speaker. He will be accompanied by his choir and ushers.

MARCH 25-30

PASSION WEEK, 2:30 p.m. at White Oak Grove Baptist Church in Phenix. Preaching starts at 3 p.m. Monday-Friday services will have prayer and praise at 7 p.m. with preaching at 7:30 p.m. Deacons from each host church will open prayer and praise. Churches will included Sunday, Beautiful Zion; Monday, White Oak Grove; Tuesday, Triumph; Wednesday, St. Andrews; Thursday, Nazareth and Friday, Mt. Lyle.

HIGHWAY DEDICATION, 11 a.m. The event will kick off at Rt. 47 South at the town limit marker and afterwards everyone is invited to the Drakes Branch Municipal Building for light refreshments.

MAUNDY THURSDAY SERVICE, 7 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church.


DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATES FORUM, 10 a.m. at the Bistro, 150 King St., in Keysville. Candidates will include Andrew Sneathern, Leslie Cockburn, Ben Cullop, R.D. Huffstetler and Lawrence Gaughan.

CHICKEN STEW FUNDRAISER, 11 a.m. at Kerwin and Beverly Kunath’s house. Proceeds will benefit the Wildcats travel softball team. Stewmaster is Kerwin Kunath. To preorder, call Beverly at (434) 391-4708.

EASTER EGG HUNT/COOKOUT, 10 a.m. at Providence Baptist Church. This event is for ages up to grade 5.


EASTER SONRISE SERVICE, 7 a.m. at Emmanuel Bible Church in Keysville. Service will be held outdoors. Breakfast will be served immediately following the service.

EASTER WORSHIP SERVICE, 10 a.m. at Gethsemane Presbyterian Church in Drakes Branch. All are invited to worship with us.
