Fifty-two year old Lisa Dickerson Daniel is a friendly face in the Charlotte County community as a citizen and store owner. Daniel is currently a resident of Scuffletown area and she said she is most known in the community for formerly operating Scuffletown Grocery and Bumper’s, located in Drakes Branch.

According to Daniel, her favorite place to visit or vacation is the beach. “I would really love to go to the mountains. I have never been.”

When asked if she could live anywhere else in the world, Daniel said she wouldn’t choose anywhere other than Charlotte County because she loves being from a small community. “Everyone looks out for everybody,” Daniel said.

In her spare time when she gets a chance to relax and watch television, Daniel said her favorite shows include all of the Chicago shows and her favorite foods include turkey and chicken.

When asked about some fun facts about herself, Daniel joked and said, “I’m sure a lot of people could tell you these.”

Daniel said an important message she would like to say is “spend all the time you can with your family,” said Daniel. “No one is promised tomorrow. Treat people the way you want to be treated.”

Daniel’s family consists of her husband Roger Lee Daniel, daughter Emily Daniel and sons Greg and Timothy Daniel. Additionally, Daniel has several grandchildren including MJ and Abi Yarosh, Brycen Daniel, William Daniel and Liam Daniel.

She said she also has a daughter-in-law Laney Palmer and a future daughter-in-law Samantha Shores.

Her hobbies include spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren.
