Eureka Spelling Bee

On Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017, Eureka Elementary School held its annual Spelling Bee. Students from grades 1-5 competed. Jennifer Grey welcomed everyone and introduced the judges, Augusta Carwile, Billy Catron and Bonita Hamlett, and the ten contestants. After 21 rounds, fifth-grader Alex Clark was named the 2017 Eureka Spelling Bee Winner. Kyasia White, a fifth-grader, was the first runner-up. Both students will compete in the county Spelling Bee held at Central Middle School on Wednesday.
