PRE-NEW YEAR’S EVE CELEBRATION, 4 p.m. at Jericho Baptist Church. The event will feature The Sensational Nightingales. The Jericho Volunteer Choir under the direction of Deacon Perry Carrington will also be in attendance.

ORDINATION SERVICE, 3 p.m. at Salem Baptist Church in Red Oak. The church will be having an Ordination Service for Deaconess Elects Sister Stephanie Robertson and Sister Pamela Brooks. The SBC Mass Choir will render the music.

DECEMBER 31

INITIAL SERMON, 3 p.m. at Organ Hill Baptist Church. The Rev. Whitfield Scott and the Organ Hill Baptist Church family invites the public to the initial sermon of Deacon Michael Haskins. Everyone is invited.

WATCH SERVICE, 6-7 p.m. at Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Brookneal. The public is invited.

PRAYER/PRAISE/ HEALING AND DELIVERANCE, 2 p.m. at Triumph Baptist Church. The Rev. Darryl Brown, Pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church in Prospect will be the guest preacher and the Triumph Church Choir will sing songs of praise. Everyone is invited. The church is located on the Darlington Heights Road in Prince Edward County.

JANUARY 2

BEEKEEPERS MEETING, 7 p.m. at Prince Edward County Extension Office. Registration for Beginner Beekeeping classes, which begin Jan. 18, will be accepted. Topics include what beekeepers can do to prepare for spring and more info on the bee school. Anyone who has bees or is interested in bees is welcome.
