R-H JV girls fall to Prince Edward

Randolph-Henry High School’s junior varsity (JV) girls basketball team entered its lone contest last week fresh off of its first victory of the season, but the Lady Statesmen were not able to earn a second consecutive win, falling 36-16 to visiting Prince Edward.
The Lady Statesmen hold a 1-3 record so far for the 2017-18 season.
Their win came Dec. 5 when they routed host Bluestone 26-8.
Randolph-Henry narrowly lost 21-15 to host Gretna on Dec. 1, and the Lady Statesmen fell 38-18 in their season opener Nov. 28 to host Amelia.
The Lady Statesmen host Central Lunenburg on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m., and they return to action in the new year on Wednesday, Jan. 3, hosting Nottoway at 5:30 p.m.
