Daniel ‘Lewis’ Jones

Daniel “Lewis” Jones, age 65, went to be with his Savior on Nov. 11, 2017. Born in Red Oak, Virginia to the late Robert B. Jones and Ruth I. Jones, Lewis was a Randolph-Henry High School graduate. He earned his BS in Business Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Born with a zeal for life and a love for his family, Lewis was a joy and inspiration to many. He was a local businessman, farmer and avid pilot. He was a member of Easters United Methodist Church. He was a loving husband, father, brother and PaPa.
Lewis is survived by his beloved wife, Lynn Jones; his beloved children, daughter Shelly Jones Phillips, stepdaughter Sarah Carlton, stepson Dillon Whitlow; his grandchildren Sage Phillips, Cody Phillips, Wyatt Carlton, and Logan Carlton; his sister Barbara Marie Nix and her husband Roy Nix; his brother George Jones and his wife Betty Jones; his sister Lisa Wiebking and her husband William Wiebking; his honorary grandchildren Elizabeth Sandy and Charlie Sandy; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to visitation at 11a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017 at Easters United Methodist Church with a Celebration of Life to follow. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Mecklenburg County Cancer Association, P.O. Box 311, Chase City, VA 23924.
