Mr. Daniel Evans, age 38, of Drakes Branch died Oct. 8, 2017. He was born on August 15, 1979 to Ms. Nadine Bonita Evans and the late Mr. Daniel Clark.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jennifer Cheatham Evans of Drakes Branch; one child; Jaliyah Boyd; his mother, Ms. Nadine Bonita Evans of Phenix; grandmother, Mrs. Isabel Evans of Phenix; one sister, Angela Evans Kirby (Jarrodd) of South Boston; aunts, Barbara Fenwick (Roger) of Maryland, Patricia Bayne of Keysville, Mary Elam of South Boston, Alberta Miller of Phenix, Gale Bolden (McKinley) of Charlotte Court House, Regina Evans of Brookneal, Sylvia Waller (Garry) of Keysville, Mary Alice Williams of Charlotte Court House, and Rochelle Hancock (Calvin) of Phenix; uncles, Joseph Clark, Jr. of Keysville and Russell Evans of Brookneal; five sisters-in-law, Elsie Bailey of Keysville, Rosa Friend of Drakes Branch, Darlene Walton (Howard) of Phenix, Christella Barnes (Douglas) of Savannah, GA, and Stephanie Cheatham of Randolph; two brothers-in-law, George Ferrell of Puerto Rico and Michael Ferrell of Meherrin; three nieces, Mariah Waller, Chante Waller, and Angel Waller; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Sunday, October 15th at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Jeffress Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Brookneal with interment in Brown’s Memorial Church Cemetery in Saxe. Jeffress Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Brookneal was in charge of arrangements.
