Jimmy Lee Allen entered eternal peace on Sept. 14, 2017 at his home in Fairfax Station, Virginia just shy of 73 years. Born in Farmville, VA, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and in the outdoors. He loved sports, especially, baseball, football and NASCAR. Jimmy is remembered for his kindness, generosity, and fun-loving spirit.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of nearly 55 years, Mary M. (Libby) Allen; daughters Renee (Scott) Kuntz and Regina (Francis) Schmitt; grandsons, Ian and Mason Schmitt, ‘grand-daughter’ Shelby Pleger; brother Bobby (Bonnie) Allen and sister Linda Newcomb; aunt Joanne Harley and a large extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents Willie Watkins and Vergie Nichols Allen.

A memorial service was held at Sydenstricker United Methodist Church on Sept. 23, 2017. Memorial contributions may be made to SUMC earmarked for the Music or Youth Programs.
