Doris Foster Claybrook

Doris Foster Claybrook, 86, of Brookneal passed away Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017 at Lynchburg General Hospital.  She was the wife of the late Jerry Carson Claybrook.

Mrs. Claybrook was born in Charlotte County, November 16, 1930, a daughter of the late Shelton Hoyt Foster and Ruth Milton Foster.  She was a member of Staunton River Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son, Lynn Claybrook (Kathy) of Brookneal; two daughters, Brenda C. Lacks (Donald) of Saxe, Glenda C. Guthrie (Mark) of Brookneal; nine grandchildren, Joey Lacks (Kathy), Randall Lacks, Dustin Lacks, Adam Guthrie (Rebekah), Lindsay Cowart (Kerry), Corey Claybrook (Stephanie), Justin Bradley (Tonya), Heath Bradley (Brittany), Kyle Bradley; 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Milton Foster (Vivian) of Richmond, Keith Foster (Elizabeth) of Jacksonville, Fla.; three sisters, Esther Roach, Marian Huffman, and Edith Pollard (Hester) all of Phenix. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Carlton, John, David and Bruce Foster.

A graveside service was conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017 at Staunton River Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Rick Dellinger.

The family received friends from 6:30 until 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, 2017 at Henderson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Brookneal and at the residence of Lynn and Kathy Claybrook other times.
