Arthur Talley Evans, Jr., age 73 of Charlotte Court House, died Thursday, August 31, 2017 in Lynchburg. He was the son of the late Arthur Evans, Sr. and Maggie Gaines Evans. He was the husband of Mrs. Chris Evans.

He was preceded in death by one son, Arthur Evans; two brothers, Clifford Evans and James Evans; one sister, Melissa Elam Hardy.

He is survived by his wife, Chris Randolph Evans of Charlotte Court House; two sons, Robert Evans (Jennifer) of Austin, Texas and Reginald Evans (Teresa) of Gulf Breeze, Florida; four grandchildren, Cadella Evans and Robert Junior Evans of Austin, Texas and Ethan and Elyse Evans of England; two great grandchildren, Ramesu Amun-Ra and Oya Amun-Ra of England; his stepmother, Isabell Evans of Phenix; seven sisters, Mary Elam of South Boston, Alberta Miller of Phenix, Gale Bolden (McKinley) of Charlotte Court House, Nadine Evans of Phenix, Regina Evans of Brookneal, Sylvia Waller (Garry) of Keysville, Rochelle Hancock (Calvin) of Phenix; one brother, Russell Evans of Brookneal; one aunt Mrs. Mary Alice Williams of Charlotte Court House; one daughter-in-law, Mary Evans of England; and a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-laws, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at St. Louis Baptist Church in Charlotte Court House with interment in the church cemetery. Condolences may be expressed at www.JeffressFuneralHome.com.
