Phenix Elementary safety patrol chosen

Phenix Elementary’s AAA School Safety Patrol is back on duty.
“The organization is comprised of fifth graders who were recommended by their teachers for exhibiting outstanding character traits and maintaining good grades,” according to a press release.
“The Safety Patrol program helps promote the development of leadership skills and good citizenship qualities in students.”
The primary purpose of the safety patrol is to ensure the safety of students as they arrive and depart our campus.
Patrol members received training before beginning the program that included traffic safety lessons, pedestrian safety and leadership skill building.
Members of the Safety Patrol are positioned at various locations.
