- Randolph-Henry senior co-captain Eli Moore hit a 40 in each of his team’s matches last week.
The Randolph-Henry High School varsity golf team put together another winning week, pushing its overall record for the 2017 season to 9-0.
“Our senior Co-Captains Eli Moore, Evan Mason, Logan Newcomb, Nathan Towery, and Dalton Barksdale have really played great and are showing true leadership qualities,” R-H Head Coach Kelly Powell said.
On Thursday, the Statesmen produced a 163 team score at Hermitage Country Club to defeat Goochland, which shot a 185, and Nottoway, which shot a 224.
Evan Mason led Randolph-Henry by shooting a one-over-par 37.
On Aug. 15, Mason shot a 39 to help his team defeat Bluestone and Amelia at Amelia Golf & Country Club. The Statesmen generated a 160, while the Barons shot a 188 and the Raiders produced a 204.
The Statesmen host Prince Edward and Cumberland on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at Briery Country Club.
