Dear Editor,

On behalf of the members of Keysville Community Athletics (KCA), I would like to take a moment to thank everyone who helped make the Dixie Minor League District 5 All-Star tournament such a success.

This was a wonderful event that showcased what our community represents. The spirit of competition, class and sportsmanship demonstrated by all teams and their fans was not only a strong representation of what Charlotte County and its baseball programs stand for but also a glowing example of what youth athletics should be about.

Successfully hosting an event such as this requires a great deal of support. We not only got that from the parents, coaches and community members within our organization but also from businesses throughout the area and volunteers from other baseball organizations within the county. As with any situation such as this, there are too many groups and individuals to thank by name.

Therefore, we would like to simply say “thank you” to everyone who helped make this event a positive experience for these young men and their families.

We would like to congratulate all of the coaches and players who participated in the tournament on a great season.
