Bumper’s in Drakes Branch hosted the second annual Festival at Bumper’s on Saturday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., but Bumper’s owner Lisa Dickerson Daniel said the band Calvin and Company, of Lynchburg, played until 2 p.m. She estimated 300 people or more attended the festival, representing significant growth compared to last year, and she said all the food vendors sold out completely. In addition to food and music, there were yard sales as well as jewelry and Girl Scout cookies for sale. In a previous interview, Daniel noted the event was a way for her store to give back to the community. “We wouldn’t be what we are without the locals,” she said.
