July 29

GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church in Keysville. Free school supplies and food will be given away. The church is located at 2365 Old Kings Highway.

MEN’S DAY, 3 p.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church. Guest speakers will be Captain Royal Freeman, Principal Michael Haskins and Deacon David Allen. Several groups will render the music. 

July 30

SCRAP IRON QUARTET CONCERT, 6:30 p.m. at Cullen Baptist Church. Everyone is invited.

FAMILY AND FRIENDS DAY, 11 a.m. at Triumph Baptist Church in Darlington Heights. A car and motorcycle show and picnic luncheon will be held immediately following the service. Casual dress is encouraged.

CRAWLEY SISTERS ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church in Keysville. Everyone is invited. The church is located at 3487 Lunenburg County Road.

HOMECOMING, 11 a.m. at Gethsemane Presbyterian Church. The Rev. G. Michael Hickman will bring the message and the Gethsemane Young Adult Choir will render the music. Dinner will be served after the service. All are invited.

MEN’S DAY, 3 p.m. at Roanoke Baptist Church in Charlotte Court House. Bell of Harmony, of Meherrin, will be the special guest.

GOSPEL SINGING, 3 p.m. at Mossingford Baptist Church. All are welcome.

August 1

BEEKEEPERS MEETING, 7 p.m. at the Prince Edward County Extension Office. The topic will be fall management. Anyone who has bees or is interested in bees is welcome. For more information, call Mary Jane Morgan at (434) 315-1433.

August 5

BAKE SALE, 8 a.m. at Salem Christian Church in Fort Mitchell. The sale will include sausage, ham biscuits, pies, cakes and more.

August 6

ROYAL LIGHTS GOSPEL SINGERS, 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Wylliesburg. Various groups will appear.

September 15

POW-MIA DAY, 11 a.m. at the Charlotte County Administration Building lawn. This event is hosted by the Charlotte County VFW Post 8902. Guest speaker will be Greg Eanes.

September 30

BENEFIT RIDE, 9:30 a.m. at the Drakes Branch Pavilion. Southside Buffalo Soldiers will sponsor this ride for fallen Buffalo Soldier George Roberts. Cost is $15 per rider and $5 per passenger. Proceeds will assist with son Jacoby Roberts. For more information, call (804) 665-8860.
