The annual Go Hard or Go Home two-day basketball tournament is set for Saturday and Sunday at the Central Middle School Gymnasium.
According to Event Coordinator Monique Williams, this is the third annual tournament and the event is in collaboration with the Charlotte County Recreation Association (CCRA).
She said the event will feature bounce houses and a Zumba demo in addition to other local vendors.
“There are also vendors (that) consist of local residents and nearby small businesses who will be on hand to showcase and sell various merchandise, including LulaRoe clothing, Lipsense cosmetics, bakery shops and gift baskets and jewelry,” Williams said.
James Gregory, the director of the Charlotte County Recreation Association, said the event is held as a fundraiser for West Point Park in Drakes Branch, which recently saw the addition of two new swing sets.
The event will be begin at noon each day. General admission will be $2 for adults 13 and over each day, $1 for children under 12 and free for children under 5 years old.
