Dear Editor,

As a resident of Charlotte County for most of my life and a retired educator with Charlotte County Public Schools, I completely agree with this (“‘We have been divided for a reason,’” May 3). We need to welcome diversity and progressive thinking instead of finding ways to blot it out.
