WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY, 6 p.m. at Beautiful Plain Baptist Church in Charlotte Court House. All women are welcome to attend.

MAY 19-21

CATFISH TOURNAMENT, 10 a.m. at the Brookneal Boat Landing. The event is sponsored by the Staunton River Masonic Lodge No. 155. Prizes will be awarded for first-fifth place for the largest catfish. First place will receive $1,500.

MAY 20

USDA FOODBANK, 10 a.m.-noon at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Red House. Food bank is only available to those in the Phenix and surrounding Red House community who are residents of Charlotte County. USDA food can only be received at one site. Please bring a large cardboard box. For questions, contact Bernice Pannell at (434) 248-6465 after 5 p.m. and before 8 p.m.

WOMEN’S MINISTRY PROGRAM, 3 p.m. at St. Louis Baptist Church in Charlotte Court House. Ladies are asked to wear their favorite color. The church is located at 111 St. Louis Road.

RAINBOW TEA, 2 p.m. at Mossingford Baptist Church. Everyone is invited.

WOMEN’S PRAYER BREAKFAST, 9 a.m. at St. Douglas Baptist Church in Charlotte Court House. All are welcome.

MAY 21

CELEBRATING EMS, The Charlotte County Rescue Squad will hold an event celebrating EMS Week on Sunday from 1-5 p.m. at the county rescue squad building at 8300 George Washington Ave., Keysville. The event will include food, a bounce house, drinks, hamburgers, free blood pressure and glucose checks.

PASTOR’S ANNIVERSARY, 4 p.m. at St. Andrews Baptist Church in Cullen. Guest preacher for the service will be the Rev. Dr. James H. Taylor III of Jericho Baptist Church in Farmville. Repast will be served after the service.

PASTOR’S ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. at St. Michael Baptist Church in Drakes Branch. The church will celebrate the 11th anniversary of its pastor, the Rev. James Goode. The Rev. Fran Jackson of Mt. Mitchell Baptist Church will be the guest preacher. He will be accompanied by his choir and ushers. Dinner will be served. Everyone is welcome.

WOMEN’S DAY, 3 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church. Sister Angela Yancey, director of the mentor role model program in South Boston, will be the guest speaker. Women are asked to wear white. All are invited. Refreshments will be served.

PASTOR’S ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. at Rocky Branch Baptist Church. The church will be celebrating their pastor, the Rev. James E. Scott’s 50th anniversary. The Rev. Anthony Scott will deliver the message.

WOMEN’S DAY CELEBRATION, 3 p.m. at Morrison Grove Baptist Church. Guest speaker for the afternoon will be the Rev. Loretta Bailey, associate pastor of Salem Baptist Church. Music will be rendered by Forever Blessed.

RAINBOW TEA, 2 p.m. at Mt. Ellis Church in Keysville. All are invited.

MEMORIAL DAY PROGRAM, 3 p.m. at Gill Hill Baptist Church in Keysville. Guests will be the Crawley Sisters, Traveling Angels and Voices of Heaven. The church is located at 1427 County Line Road.

YOUNG PEOPLE/SPRING REVIVAL, 7 p.m. at Beautiful Plain Baptist Church. Guest Minister will be the Rev. Marvin Harris of New Light Baptist Church in Chase City. All are welcome. Following prayer and praise service, worship will begin at 7:30 p.m.
