A 26-year-old Keysville man is set to appear before a jury during a trial in Charlotte Circuit Court on June 26 on charges of abduction and kidnapping, forcible sodomy, two counts of destruction of property, two counts of assault on a family member and strangulation.

The charges against Demarco Steven Andrews stem from alleged crimes committed Oct. 29.

Police said Andrews was arrested on Feb. 14 after the sheriff’s office received indictments from a grand jury for the crimes.

The trial is expected to last one day.

Andrews — the suspect — has been released from jail on a $50,000 secured bond.
