Students at Bacon District Elementary School got a treat in the library on Feb. 23. William McCargo, a retired teacher from Randolph-Henry High School and owner of Duck Puddle Day Care in Drakes Branch, came to the library and showed students his new book, “Duck Puddle Farm.” The book focuses on good character traits and color skills. After explaining what the book was about, he presented a copy to Charlene Haskins, head teacher at Bacon, and Allyson Watkins, librarian. The children were thrilled to meet an author.
